when i start the car in the morning as soon as the car kicks over it makes a clanking noise,i think its coming from motor area not sure exactly,it only does it after sitting overnight..any ideas? bugs the hellout of me!

 

Push the clutch in, does it still make the noise then?

damn it, this just happened to me too. just yesterday i started it and everything was fine

 

I have a 2003 with about 40,000 miles. I get the same nosie on start up. I believe it is lifter noise.
