Default PX3 Additive?

Every weekend I watch the numerous "car" shows on SPIKE, Muscle Car, Trucks, Xtreme 4x4 etc.

Anyway they tested this oil additive called PX3 that they put into a Mustang GT, they dynoed it and showed an increase of approx 7hp and double digit tq gains, has anyone tried this product?

It says that it increases hp/tq by 5% and gives you better gas mileage, its available at O'Rileys and I was thinking of giving it a shot. Let the dicussion begin.

I saw that to on that garage show with the fat guy and the skinny guy who drive all the cool cars. They did it on a mustand GT with the car still on the dyno, same day, same operating temps. I usually dont go for that sort of crap but I must say I was impressed.

I dunno if I buy those numbers. I'm very skeptical of dyno before/after numbers. They can be so inconsistent by such a subtle change (i.e. temperature).

There is no proof that all variables were kept the same from the before and after. Not to mention, they could have done 10 pulls and taken the lowest before and highest after (like most aftermarket part companies quotes). This almost reminds me of the guy that dyno'd his Bassani True Dual and gained 15 rwhp and 22ft/lbs or something unheard of like that.

Granted there is probably a small gain... but doubtfully what those numbers are quoting.

we learned about additives in college they are not good for your engine. slick 50 is proven to cause more wear.
