Stock Cat Install Help
I have to get an emissions test so I'm taking my test pipes off to put stock cats back on.
I can barely get at the three bolts from the cat to the header and don't know what to do. Should I just use the factory studs and try to put a bolt on the other end? There's no real way to get at the top side of the flange, especially on the driver's side.
Any help would be great. Thanks

You have to go in through the top. remove your intake for the drivers side. Once that is removed it will take about 2-3 foot extension to reach it. ALL bolts from cat to header will be removed from the top of the car. Good luck mang, its a *****.
Dang, I was afraid you'd say that. I've got a couple extensions and a little ratchet universal joint that's good for getting bolts at angles. Hopefully I'll be able to reach down in there. Thanks
Alright, after two days of work, I have one stock cat and one test pipe on my car. I couldn't break the upper bolts loose on the passenger side. Looks like I'll be calling a shop...

professional help = WD40 or some sort of thread lock lubricant. Believe me there is nothing about professional help with these cars unless the mechanic owns one. 9out10 shops will have their first expeirence working a Z with your car... sounds scary to me lol Good luck.

The answer to your problem is PB blaster. If you soak the bolts in that, and they still dont come off, chances are they are fused for good and they'll snap before they unthread.
