Car died!
not to hijack your thread or anything, and i know there's a million reasons why this could happen, but was this resolved? i'm having a similar issue, but with some strange details to go with it...

i had a engine replaced and had the same problems. first it only happened when i went past 4k rpm, then 3, then 2. worst of all it happened at a meet so everyone thought i was a noob driver. needless to say i had it towed and turned out it the crank shaft position sensor wasnt seeped in right.

this happened when i was on the dyno at Injected Performance. Hal plugged in the scan tool and it threw the a cps code, changed it out with 3 known working ones, swapped out the ecu, swapped out the haltech and the patch harness and still nothing. Hal ended up putting a scope on the voltage output of the crank position sensor and it had a very bad voltage signal. They think it is probably the flywheel

the flywheel has a plate machined on to it with little teeth notched out of it. That is what the crank position sensor reads off of. If there is a defect in the flywheel or it is slighly deformed then the sensor will not be able to count the teeth correctly and confuse the hell out of the ecu
I am pretty sure i figured out my problem. i got under my car with alot of trouble only having a scissor jack. i found my sensor was actually loose and hung out a quater inch as you read this I am going to try my car right now.
