Default Possible water leak

Good evening,

One, thanks for having such a great site!!

2nd, need some assistance and hope you can all help. This afternoon I was driving to my brother's house and the directions took me to an off road area in which our 2006 350z could not possibly handle. As I attempted to back up the hill (Probably 7 ft from the main road)the road started to scrape the bottom of the car. My wife looked at it and told me it was leaking. She could not tell what was leaking (Oil, water, radiator fluid) so needless to say I panicked and drove back home. The car made it fine

I did not check the leak until I got home and I looked under the passenger side of the car and noticed it was water. I was somewhat relieved because it was not anything worse. But my question is this, is this normal. The water was coming from 3 black, metal, small lines that looked like it goes towards the back of the car. We ran the A/C as we went home so I don't know if it was just the condensate from the drive home. It has been 3 hours since the trip and there still seems to drip but not very much. Maybe once every 5-7 minutes. I also noticed that the water seemed to be coming from the middle line.

What can this be? Should I be concerned? What should I do?

I would post pictures but my camera broke a couple of weeks ago and I have not yet replaced it.

Thanks for your help,
Garc33

Was it from there?

I had the same problem after running over a hurricane shutter. I thought it was was fuel or AC fluid.. but it was just water condensation from when the AC was on.

I was on the median and had the AC on the whole time, thus water flowing into that area where it dripped down a whole bunch. I thought fuel was leaking but it wasn't.

That was the case for me... if you are curious, park your car backwards on an incline, so if it was fuel, the gas will flow form the rear to the front... inwhich it will have to pass through that area. If something is dripping, place a cup under it and if there is enough..smell it. You will know if it is fuel from the smell.

Or.. park your car forwards on an incline... if its AC fluid.. it will come from the front towards the back..

THEN leave your car on for 5 minutes in both ways... and see when you turn on your AC... if there is any dripping.

I had a couple of drops.. but that was it. no smell or anything.

MOST LIKELY it is just water condensation from when your AC was running. That was in my case.

I was worrying a lot.. A LOT ALOT.. maybe you are too

Good luck

Yes it was. I did smell it when I first parked the car and it did not smell like anything. So at that point I assumed it was water. My concern about that as well was the fact that I never noticed that before. But who really does???

Thank you for the quick response. I will still keep an eye on it since the most important thing is that this is my wife's car and trust me she was PO'd when this happened. This is her third "Z" 280z and 300zx and she does not want me screwing this car up.
