Default Alignment Settings (7/23/03)

I just had my front tires replaced and an alignment done for my feathering / cupping problem. I asked the dealer for before and after specs, and I was given both of them. All I can say is, my car was OUT OF SPEC... These are the current alignment specs from NISSAN per my dealer...

Forgive me, I do not have a scanner and am no good with charts and graphs...

(I also have the complete specs including Cross Camber, Cross Caster, Total Toe, Set Back, and Thrust Angle if anyone REALLY wants those valuse, please PM me, I can photocopy and send them out...

FRONT (Same values for Right and Left)

Min. Nominal Max.
-1.33 -0.58 0.17 CAMBER (degrees)
7.42 8.17 8.92 CASTER (degrees)
0.00" 0.02" 0.04" TOE (inches)

REAR (Same values for Right and Left)

-2.08 -1.58 -1.08 CAMBER (degrees)
0.02 0.04 0.05 TOE (inches)

MY Front Toe was -.014 Left and -.012 Right
MY Rear Camber was -2.3 Left and -2.1 Right
MY Rear Toe was -.08 Left and -.07 Right

As you can see they corrected more than one or two setting, even the REAR was off. I can HONESTLY say that with the new alignment and the new S03 Pole Positions, I can FEEL a difference in the handeling of the car. It is MUCH more precise and slightly more agile. (Of course I have no more road noise also... I just hope this cures the cupping)

By the way... The dealer DID mess up my rims.... They were up front, honest, and called me before I even picked up the Z. I have two new rims on order now for replacement next week...
