Default Nissan $85 tire repair?

What! I had a slow leak in the left rear tire. I know that tire places have been damaging the track wheels if they don’t have the correct equipment so I took the car to my dealer.
They told me that they could repair the tire but only once and not if the sidewall was damaged because of the low profile design and the Z rating. That makes sense to me. But then they told me it would be $26 for the repair and $59 to reset the tire pressure monitor with the computer. Does this make sense? And they said that every time you patched or changed tires there would be a charge for this reset of the tire pressure monitor. Is this BS?

This IS BS. There is no need to reset the tire pressure monitor. This should only be necessary if the change the monitor or move the monitor to another wheel/car.

how much miles are on it? shouldn't it be covered by warranty? If not by the dealer, should be by the tire manufacturer. while ago, my new car had a flat tire (i think it only had like 2k on it) when to get it replace at Firestone, the super cool guy looked at my miles and said he'll take care of it for FREE! Said that it was a new tire so it shouldn't have popped, so before you paid check on that.

I've never heard of any place charging to patch a tire. Most tire places will patch it for free even if you didn't buy the tires from them.
