Paint chipped in carwash :(
First of all if this should be in the tech section, sorry please move it there.
I bought my 350z about 3 weeks ago. This past Sunday I was waxing and noticed a raise part of the door, not able to be seen unless up close. It was not raised as a bump, but more like a crack, and I could see by looking extremely close there was small bubbled behind the paint. Keep in mind this is all unable to be seen unless face to face.
I went to the stealership I bought the car from and they told me because I have had it for 2 weeks "anything could have happened" I told him it takes months for the paint to bubble up like that due to a crack and they said, "we understand but it still falls in the category or body work" Keep in mind I got not only the certified warranty with the car, but another wrap-around warranty which normally costs 1200 and I had them throw it in.
Now today I went to a car wash and came out to see the piece where the crack thing was missing paint overtop. It is about 1 inch tall and 1/8 inch wide. It is a tanish color but definitely paint chipped off. Pics are below, I took it at night with a flash camera so there is a glare but you can see the missing paint. Are there any ideas that people have for me to make this look right. I am pretty sure touch up paint is not the way to go, don't want it looking like crap. I fear the whole door may have to be repainted and this can cost around $1200. Help?

that's completely down to the metal it seems. I would highly suggest you put some touch up paint over it for at least now or it's going to rust. Should cost 200-300 to get a door repainted if they are able to ONLY paint the door to match.

I'm not oging to jump to conclusions so here:
If you took your Z thorugh an auto car wash I hate you and you should be banned.
If you took it through one of thise stalls where you wash your own then that sucks and I hope it turns out well...

seems like you are going to be stuck flipping the bill, no dealership is going to honor a issue with the paint like that on a used car.
as far as costing $1200 to paint a door? you are mistaken, should only be a couple of hundred.

An update. After longgg discussion with the Used car manager and a close look by some service techs at the dealership, I got them to agree the damage could not have been done by me as the bubbles in the paint were building up for a while. They repainted the door last week, I got it back this past Friday. It looks amazing! They painted the door.
A little backstory, I was supposed to take the car in on Monday of last week to get painted. On the way to work I go to adjust my rear view with no more effort than normal, and it decides to "peel" off of the windshield. I use the word peel because it was not a yank, more of a tearing motion. To my utter and flabbergasted dismay,, (yeah you love the language), not only did the mirror come off the windshield, it took a nice chunk of glass out with it. This was brought to the dealerships attention when I brought it in for the paint, but I was accused of yanking or smashing the mirror off of my 2 week old aquired 350z...hmmm yeahhhh. Anyways they said all we will do is glue it on so I told them dont worry about it, i'll get it fixed on my own.
I call Safelite (GREAT COMPANY!), and they come out today and fix my windshield while I am at work. Flawless job down to the inspection sticker removal and reapplication. The windshield tech pointed out that the mirror was previoulsy broken and glued back on, as he showed me the glue marks. He has 10+ years experience so I trusted him. Now I am wondering if I should go to the dealer with his professional opinion and see if I can get them to pay the $210 or just leave it alone since they painted the door?
What you guys think....?

1. The previous owner (3 year lease), broke it off in some kind of forceful gesture and glued it back in before he turned in his lease, OR
2. The dealer received the car back with mirror broken off glass (received payment from leaser for damage), and decided to just glue broken piece on instead of swap windshield out for new one, either way, I got shafted on that one...
I have been super meticulou with my car, cleaning the wheels, tailpipes, windows, and body 1-2 time a week for the 4 weeks I have had the car now. I plan to full detail her every 6 months, probably after the winter, and after the summer.

And I am putting some upgrades in in the meantime. A JWT Pop Charger, Z floormats, OEM third switch, Third switch controls 12 LED, 4 under each dash, 4 across the ridge behind the seats. Looking into full exhaust systems.
