My trunk won't close and it won't latch down. When I shut it down, it won't latch on for some reason. I've tried the trunk release button by license plate and remote to see if it would fix itself. But no avail......

Any ideas?????

 

You tried holding the button down near the plate when you closed it?

 

yup... still won't latch on.

 

Have you done anything to the hatch area lately? Install of a wing, anything like that which would contribute to this?

When you push the button, can you hear the motor move the latch?

 

Did not install any wings or spoiler. And yes I can hear the motor when i push the button by the lic plate and remote button.

I wonder if the trunk light stay on??? The trunk is close, but won't latch down and lock.

 

How did you solve the problem?? I am having exactly the same issue!

i had the same issue as well, had to take it to the stealership, as per them the latch is broken, in addition its a problem thats been occuring in a lot of Z's.
