So it happened friday on the way to work...

Getting on the highway and shifted from 5th-6th gear. All I got was a grind. It was so bad I didn't even want to attempt to put it into 6th gear. Drove to work in 5th gear and took it into the dealership. Service manager didn't believe me until he took it for a ride. Doesn't matter what he tried doing, high rpm to low rpm shifts, shifting from 5th-6th produced a grind.

The dealership is supposed to be calling the Nissan Tech line today for answers. Pretty sure this is syncro related is it not?

Can't believe I'm going to have to get my transmission replaced after 3,500 miles...

 

I feel for ya man. I had my tranny and clutch replaced at around 36K miles on mine. I was grinding 3rd gear. At east Nissan took care of it all and had it doen in one day and didnt cost me a dime (as it shouldnt have).

It does surprise me though that 5 model years later and the problem still isnt fixed?

 

ay my tranny has a the same problem into 6th having a hell of a time running around dealerships now

 

got a new transmission, this one seems good but, i can feel going into third, it doesnt grind but i can feel it like a metal metal contact when i shift into 3rd 75% of the time, what could this be?
