I've heard to tape up your windows in a criss cross pattern across it to keep it 1) from breaking as easily 2) if it does break then it won't hopefully shatter as much.

Of course keep it garaged if possible.

Keep it away from things that may fall on it.

And keep a full tank of gas.

Any other tips folks?

Take pictures of that bish for some before pics. Unless you take it with you, the only thing you can really do is put it on jackstands if you want to try to prevent it from flooding and that's not a guarantee.

Hail is the only weather we get once or twice every five to ten years. I keep the car and truck in the garage but I've lived where I didn't have a garage. I use to take moving blankets and toss them on the hood, roof, and trunk and then put a water resistant cover over the top. The covers need to be the kind with the ability to lock them in place - they've got a set of loops where you run a bit of laundry line between them to hold them in place in the wind. Works really well stopping all but those Texas sized golf ball sized hail stones.

Move.

Preferably, take it away from the hurricane.

I just recently put my Vortech SC on and haven't added it to my insurance plan yet.

What do I do about that?

I just took photos of everything.

High Ground + Garaage + Insurance = No Worries

I also just got finished a couple weeks ago taking extensive pics of the Z at Bear Creek Park.

I'm not really all to worried about this Ike guy anyways, I'll be getting toasted with friends for a "Go F*** Yourself Ike" Party.
