Default Before I became a master at jacking up the Z...

...I used to be a dumbass.

Well, only for like 6 months before I smartened up. I've had my jack stands for some time now, and some jack stand pads made from an old tire to save those pinch welds from getting any more bent up. Just 2 weeks ago, I got my new Omega ultra low profile jack to replace my 1980 something craftsman. I can now raise my lowered (-ish...only .75" and no front lip) without driving up on blocks.

I know I write a lot, but I'd rather be detailed than vague to make the thread helpful to both me, and anyone else who may stumble upon it in the future with the same issue.

Anyway, I read through a bunch of the threads about jacking up the Z before posting, and I see that there were some seriously worse-off noobs out there than I was back in '04 when I first got my Z.

With that said, I have included a pic below of the areas I "damaged" below to get your opinions. Essentially, I did the typical bending of the pinch welds before I started using pads for my jack stands, and also used a couple alternative (I hope) jack points one time to lift the car from the front corners only, since I only needed to access each wheel well that day. Is the stress I put on the two highlighted areas in green, and the pinch welds (you know where they are) anything to worry about? Can't do much about those rails being damaged, I know, but I think in those two green spots there is a bolt holding that frame reinforcement piece on...maybe I should look into re-torquing it? I thought it was just the same annoying cosmetic damage in the highlighted section below, until tonight when I starting wondering about whether I tweaked something or not.

I have always jacked from those green points in the front with my hydraulic. It's a circle that my jack fits on just right. Never had any problems and it's easy to get the jack stands under the factory points with my jack right there. I don't see any problem with what you were doing.
