Hey, this is my first time writing in this. i Have a problem with my Z my passenger side window for some reason goes up and goes back down all by itself but not completely. I have to do some trick to get it to stay up which is just holding the switch till before u feel the click. anyone have any ideas what it can be? this is really frustrating as sometimes it goes down alone and it rained and the whole inside of my car get wet! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

 

ummmm.....yeah....most members will tell u to search....but u just need to clean out the window motor

 

I tried searching and i came up on cleaning the motor, and i did it actually wasnt that full of dirt/grease and i followed the instructions on the thread that comes up from the search. But it still does the same thing.

 

you may need to replace the motor. Is it an 03?

I think autozone carries the motors, not 100% sure.

 

You need to reset your window motor. Look at my DIY thread. It will show you how to dissasemble the door. Post #17 will show you how to reset the window motor. You can thank me later.

I have a 04 350z roadster and when I go to open the the top the passenger window goes down and the seat moves up but the driver side window doesn't. When I press the button on the door to open or close it does work. The only time it doesn't is when the top going to opened.Anyone experience this before or recommend what the problem could be. Thx

 

I'm just trying to help. I bought a new motor off of ebay and we replaced it ourselves. This video will walk you thru the steps. FYI - it may be easier to take the glass out of the door.
