ohoh....ECM problem after tranny change
So i'm getting a warranty replacement tranny, and they leave my battery disconnected all night.......ECM forgets everything i've taught it, and now idles really rough, and occasionally throws up a "check engine" light....the ECM will not allow one of the learning procedures to be performed..........i'm not worried about it since it's in the dealers hands, but has anyone had something similar happen to them?.....they've already attempted the following remedies: 1) replace the MAF sensor 2) run the car for a while to let it "re-learn" 3) perform all re-learning procedures with and without the CONSULT-II 4) remove the new tranny again to see if the flywheel sensor is properly oriented
UPDATE: After speaking with the service department, it's seems that my apparent ECM problem isn't an ECM problem at all......it seems that the exact same symptoms have been duplicated on another Z by disconnecting a vacuum line......so it sounds, so far, like my car will be finished tomorrow
