Default Peeling driver's side mirror

I guess it's nothing to freak out too much about, but the top of my driver's side mirror is peeling a thin, clear layer, leaving a very faded, nasty looking red underneath. Has this ever happened to anyone? Any quick fixes? I don't think touch up paint would do the trick... I'm thinking if it gets bad I will just get a replacement mirror.

Same thing has happened to both of mine. What did you end up doing to fix yours if anything. Seems like Nissan needs to improve the quality of their paint and clear coat.
