Default Cleaned My K&N's

I popped my K&N's in when I got the car in june of 07 and I beleive I reoiled them 2 months later. Well, I havent cleaned them since, I would periodically check em out and bang out the bugs and leaves. I finally washed and reoiled them and wow what a difference. You might say " that must have been totally clogged to notice a difference" but im tellin ya , the exhaust note sounds louder with less gas given. I did oil them up a little too much though, I didnt let them sit long enough, just overnight in my sink. I pulled them outta the car 5 mins ago and oil dripped out. Got 23k miles on it so the filters were a bit black.

Overall, keep your filters clean! Looks like Im going to have to check on them daily as they seem to collect giant leaves which is definetly impeding air flow. Got the oil changed last night, and looks like I'll do the ol diff next paycheck =)

Be careful with too much oil on the filter. It can get sucked into the MAF and cause all kinds of problems!

Owners figure that if oil is good for filters, then more is better.
