Default Please help me, strange problems :(

My TCS light and airbag light don't light up when my key is in ignition position 1. I know the TCS doesn't work at all because the slip light doesn't come on when the car's tires are spinning, so the airbag isn't working either. Someone was realigning the front bumper and was under the car and said there seemed to be two cut wires...do you think something as innocuous as two cut wires could be the cause of all this?

your about to be chasing demons I have a feeling.

the issue is "why". if someone cut these wires, what's the reason? to shut off a light? some other purpose?

If you don't have a lot of patience and some electrical know how you will be in over your head quite quickly. finding out what these wires goto should be the first thing in the agenda. also check all fuses for good measure. if your feeling lucky connect the wires to their home (assuming you know where they go.). and see what happens...

to your knowledge has the car been wrecked? what history do you know about the car? (FWIW the front end guy should be able to tell you if its been wrecked....unless the body shop was really good...most of them leave signs of their presence.

yep, it was in a front end collision, I bought it knowing that. Funnily, the TCS was working fine till I ran through a puddle.
