Default flywheel covered under warranty?

few months ago my clutch blew out so I had it replaced.
The body shop told me the flywheel was chewed up , and it would be like another grand for a new flywheel.
I didn't go for the new flywheel, so they re-surfaced it.

The car ran fine, but it takes about five-ten seconds to start the car.
It's pretty embarassing when there are people around.

Would warranty cover the flywheel, since im still about 10k before
The powertrain warranty is up.

A better time to have found out is when you replaced the clutch.

sounds to me like they didnt install correctly with the key peg, or they damaged the sensor (which is very fragile). Both of these things will make the car take forever to start.

If the car started fine before the clutch blew, then it would have to be a pretty destructive "blow up" to mess the teeth up on the flywheel.

Also, flywheels dont cost $1000. Search for Jim Wolf clutch and flywheel.

I think the shop you are dealing with are crooks, and jacked up the install.

. . . and no, the clutch and flywheel are not normally covered under warranty.
