Default What parts constitute the VDC system? (trying to troubleshoot after accident)

So my zed had been in a front-end accident (pre my purchase), and although I knew it had been in one, I've discovered the VDC doesn't work. I'm guessing a lot of wires were ripped out and it was rewired by chimpanzees. Anyway, I'm just wondering what components form the VDC? Are there yaw sensors somewhere? Does the ABS unit detect tire slip? I've checked the fuses, they're good. I just want to pinpoint the potential areas so the dealer doesn't yank me around Thanks

You are in more one hell of a complicated diagnostics. The list of related components is extensive. Maybe you can make heads or tails out of the diagrams in the service manual, buy I sure cannot.
