Transmission fluid
I just took my car to a shop and they put in Lucas GL5 and insisted that gl5 would be better because it covers gl3, gl4, and 5. Anyhow, the gears feel a little notchier. Do you guys think I should swap it out and put the oem stuff in?
It has lucas gl5 90w in the differential and the tranny. i have a 6-speed 03 base.

For nissan MT, you should stick to GL4 (more friendly on the synchros)... thats why i use oem nissan MTF.
For differential, GL5 is fine (I use royal purple synchromax), no additional limit slip additive necessary

Better read the fine print and make sure the Lucas GL5 is compatible with GL4 transmissions. For example, Royal Purple is rated as a GL5 but is GL4 compatible and won't damage the soft metal of the synchros.
It's not unusual for the trans to feel "notchier" or different because you went from OEM fluid to a synthetic.

It says Gl-3 to Gl-5 compatible. I threw this **** out and put in regular 80w. The lucas 90w made it feel really notchy and grind 5th. So people do NOT buy LUCAS 90w for your tranny, only your diff.
