Default Knock Sensor

P0327,Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank I or Single Sensor)

This is the code I am getting. I've been doing some reading and it looks like this means there is a malfunctioning knock sensor, it is providing a lower than normal output to the ECM. It also looks like when this code is thrown my ignition timing is retarded.

My question is, is this as simple as cleaning or replacing Knock sensor one or is this a greater problem than a malfunctioning sensor? Yes this is the only code I am getting. Thanks for the input!

Anyone know how much it costs to replace a knock sensor? I'm not that mechanically inclined but I've heard its not too difficult, anyone seen a DIY?
