i noticed that a half inch section on my hood by my head light has a small bubble in the paint which will eventually turn to rust. is this covered by the warranty?

 

if your still inside your bumper to bumper coverage than absolutely yes.

 

Hmm, that's weird because the hoods are aluminium, and it doesnt rust very easily because it's "self healing". It creates an oxide barrier to prevent rust forming. It might just be a factory paint defect (we all know how good nissan paint is). As long as there isn't a chip in your paint in the area in question then you should be fine.
