It is normal for an ECU to have a counter, recording how many time the rev limiter has been hit. The dealer probably noticed that this was excessive.

It was probably the GMs car. I asked some sales rep. about a car with some miles and he said the GM was sporting it for a while and said it was being sold new because it has never been registered. I hope they never read my ECU (if they can), they will probably say I race my car too.

Not sure if this would work...but try to get an used oil analysis and compare the metal wear in your engine to other Z's of similar mileage and oil age/viscosity/brand. Blackstone labs had a database of average metal wear for VQ35DE's.
