Default Going to shops for maintenance

Hi guys, Im not sure where this goes but I have a question for those who go to non-dealerships for their maintenance. Do you guys usually bring a list of Nissan recommended procedures to the guys at the shop to get an estimated quote before sending your cars there for maintenance? For ex, service battery, lubricate chassis, etc... I assume not all makes have the same procedures at the same mileages, so a 15,000 maintenance for Nissan might be different than a 15,000 maintenance for a Honda.

Why not just get it done at the dealership?

Routine maintenance like fluid changes? I use a mom and pop shop. Been using them for 10 years and various vehicles.

If you not so cute with location one of our members might suggest a regional shop.
