Default Help With ABS...I Think!!

I started my car this afternoon and the BRAKE, VCS, and another warning light came on. Then I shut my car off and there was this loud sound under the hood, popped the hood and the sound was coming from the brake unit, I guess it was the ABS unit, is there a reset for this?!? The noise is prettty loud, I hope that doesn't mean my ABS is going Help is always appreciated

What is the sound? Is it a loud buzzing noise? My ABS unit makes a loud buzzing noise from time to time and my ABS light goes on especially when the car gets heat soaked. Might be the same problem I have. I'm waiting for the weather to get warmer and I'll bring the car into the dealer (I have extended warranty on the car).

The rub is that there's no easy way of scanning the ABS system for the trouble codes to determine the source of failure. The ABS scanners that I have seen do not work with Z's system. So, I am flying blind before I bring it in. I assume the dealer will use Consult II to scan the ABS system and determine the problem. I have no way of knowing or verifying that what they'll tell me is really the truth. I don't feel very good about 'trusting' the dealer on this.

Yeah it's a loud buzzing sound, it continues to make the sound even after the car is shut off, so I had to disconnect the battery to make sure the unit doesn't burn out. Since I'm able to still drive it, I had my mechanic disconnect it from the motor, that way I can drive and there won't be any ABS or TCS. I only have 37,000 miles on my car.

You won't happen to be hearing a whining sound would you? I don't have the ABS light on but whenever my car gets nice and warm I hear this whining sound all the time till I shut off the car. Not sure if it's the same problem that you are having though
