help with rounded nut
just go get a cheap set of extractors. they are under 20$ and they are deep so you shouldn't have a problem getting to it.
i'm telling you this is the easiest and safest way. You put that on there, hit it with an impact and it's off in 2 seconds.

can you post more info, where and who makes it?

I just saw them in autozone last night. They are in the isle with all the hand tools. If you go to the counter and ask them for a socket bolt extractor they will point you in the right direction.
Use the correct tools or you're going to mess your car up more. All that welding bs is for backwoods people. This is a simple and cheap tool that works without damaging anything else.

Perfect, exactly what I need and easy way to get it.
And I definitely agree on the welding thing; I don't have dremel let alone a welding tool.
Just out of curiousity. Is there also a simple way to replace the nut, like going to home depot (14mm and rust proof)?
just use anti-seize on the threads when you put a new nut on them. We have Rural King here that has metric nuts. Autozone might have them too. Antiseize will keep it from sticking on the threads so you shouldn't have problems getting it off. I antiseize almost every bolt just in case. Especially steel bolts that are around water (under the car) or steel bolts into aluminum for sure.
