So i need a tuneup for my 2006 nissan 350z and the dealer said it would cost abot $600 or so.

Would it be smarter if i went to a garage with aftermarket parts and have them put it in? thus getting performance upgrades as opposed to paying the high priced dealer ship?

if that's the case? what parts should i be getting? i don't want to spend a whole lot, any help apprecaited

what does the tune up consist of... on my 06 I changed my own tranny fluid, diff fluid, engine oil, and coolant flush.. it cost well under $600 for parts..

$600 for a tune up? Just go to your local auto parts store and get all the parts. Then take your vehicle to a trustworthy automotive shop and have them labor your parts for you, save yourself $400-500.
