How to convince service dept. you need a new tranny
Things arent *too* bad right now. I have the normal rattling in neutral which is fine.
However, I also have gearbox noise during normal acceleration in 1st and 2nd (low RPMS only). And......Sometimes when I depress the clutch to go from 1st to 2nd, I get a "clunky" noise.
This thing is on it's way out. The only thing is, I'm not getting locked out of any gears or experiencing grinding. I have an appointment this friday for cosmetic touch ups on the bumper. How can I convince these people that I need a new tranny NOW!
Also, don't I have to specify the proper code? I would hate to get a tranny from the same production date as the current one I have (9-02)
Thanks
