Default rattle coming from rear right tire area when car starts driving from a stop

my car is constantly making this rattling noise somewhere around my back right tire every time i start going and sometimes it makes the noise when i shift into second too. it happens almost every time i start going from a stop. it sounds like something is maybe loose and is rattling but i have no clue. does anyone have any idea of what this noise is and how i could fix it

Maybe its your exhaust. Grab the tip and shake it violently.

If you have any access to a lift, get your vehicle in the air and look. If not, have a mechanic look at it, it shouldn't cost more than $30.

Default do a search...

a few members have reported clicking/tapping noises. Sometimes it is more prevalent when going over a rapid succession of small bumps or ridges on the road. Even turning left you may hear a tapping. I read a TSB for the rear axel but for pre 07 models. Mine only does it when I don't give it enough gas during launch and it sounds like clutch chatter... I removed the spare tire, all the loose bits in back and it still taps once in a while but not all the time so I am living with it.

mine will occur every time i start going quickly. in order to not do it, i have to ease into first by very slowly releasing the clutch. you can hear if you listen for it when i go into second and other than that it goes away. my cars on the stock suspension but i recently got new tires, so if you have the same problem it may just be from something that wasnt tightened back up and is now loose

i seem to be having the same problem....its driving me nuts. Sounds almost like a rickety floor when you take off no matter how hard or how slow and when shifting into second. I recently since then have taken the car in for an oil change at the dealer and had them do a full diagnosis and they said the car checked out perfect so idk what the noise is.

I had this problem when I first got my car...turned out to be the security lug adapter in the glovebox behind the passenger seat! (man I felt stupid when I figured that out) It would roll around in the compartment when I started moving forward....and I would hear a noise just like others are describing here.

Check to see if anything is loose and rolling around in any of the storage pockets before you spend any money on diagnostics...

I actually have this same problem too. I was gonna start a thread on it but decided to do my research first and here it is lol. I had my car checked out today because i had my suspension installed and the machanic said everything seemed to be fine that nothing was loose on the car but tomorrow im going to check to exhaust mounting bracket. that might just be it because it doest it when i frist go out no matter how slow or fast and in second also. And it also does it when i take my foot off the pedal its driving me crazy

That was my problem especially on low rpm accelerations ie third gear a slow speeds or second gear takeoffs

I have noticed this with mine. I have only had it a few weeks. Hopefully its just the axle nuts. I'm doing some service on the car this weekend. Brake lines, rotors ect...

You should have a friend help you diagnose it. Hop in your trunk and try to recreate the sound and swap places with your friend and get his opinion. Helps you pinpoint where it's coming from. Made it much easier for me to find mine. My rattle was from my exhaust tapping the heatshield behind the right rear wheel.
