Have you tried soap? For the price of 'em, just replace 'em.

You could try a wheel cleaner that is "safe for all wheels". I would spot test it though before spraying it all over the wheel. How bad is the dust and are you sure it *is* dust?

BRAKES!

Take my advice, no kidding. I fought with brake dust until I finally decided to replace the pads with hawk HPS Perormance pads. End of the story. There are other pads out there that are good or better but I can only talk about what I use. You can clean as much as possible but they would build up again.

Nice helping with the spelling of "brakes". But what about his main problem?. At least you knew he was not talking about giving him a "break".

Try claybaring the brake dust off. If that doesn't work, a 50/50 mix of white distilled vinegar and water should work. This stuff works magic

Mother's powerball may work. I usually use a dry soft terry cloth rag to whipe it off(worked for my gunmetal, chrome, and aluminum rims).

Nope. Although vinegar is acidic, it's very weak. When mixed with water, it's diluted down even more; it's clear-coat safe, and paint safe.

Post some pics for reference, maybe there are issues that we could address with pics.

Aren't these wheels like $200 a set? Just throw them away and buy a new set.

Not sure what is worse, the dirt on the wheels or the rusty lugnuts. What condition is the rest of the car in?
