350Z TOURING MODEL VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED BY THIS INITIATIVE.

THE AUDIOPILOT NOISE COMPENSATION FEATURE OF THE BOSE AUDIO SYSTEM
INSTALLED IN THE 350Z TOURING MODEL USES A MICROPHONE TO DETECT EXTERNAL
ROAD NOISE AND AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS THE SOUND SYSTEM EQUALIZATION TO
COMPENSATE FOR THIS.
ON SOME MODEL YEAR 2003 350Z TOURING MODEL VEHICLES PRODUCED FROM START
OF PRODUCTION THROUGH SEPTEMBER 27, 2002, THE AUDIOPILOT NOISE
COMPENSATION FEATURE CAUSES THE VOLUME AND BASS TO GO UP AND DOWN
UNEXPECTEDLY, OR CAUSES THE VOLUME AND BASS TO BE EXAGGERATED OR
EXCESSIVE AT TIMES.
TO ENSURE SATISFACTION WITH THIS AUDIO SYSTEM, NISSAN, IN COOPERATION
WITH BOSE, HAS LAUNCHED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION INITIATIVE TO REPLACE
THE AMPLIFIER WITH ONE HAVING AN IMPROVED NOISE COMPENSATION FEATURE
THAT IS MORE BALANCED WITH LESS NOTICEABLE CHANGE IN THE VOLUME AND
BASS.
MANY CUSTOMERS ARE PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THEIR
BOSE AUDIO SYSTEM AND MAY CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE THE AMPLIFIER REPLACED.
HOWEVER, SOME CUSTOMERS WILL WANT TO HAVE A NEW AMPLIFIER WITH A MORE
BALANCED NOISE COMPENSATION FEATURE WITH LESS NOTICEABLE CHANGE IN THE
VOLUME AND BASS INSTALLED IN THEIR VEHICLE.
