so you're only having problems with bank 1. i'm not exactly sure which o2 sensor that would be, the front or rear o2 on that side.

did you ever have codes from the test pipes before? i had to do a non-fouler on mine to stop giving me codes.

i think its the passenger side o2 sensor on the headers, not 100% sure. But i never had problems with my testpipes causing codes, i have an 03 so im good on that.

i would say try that o2 sensor. see how much replacements are. If they aren't expensive i would just replace both front o2 sensors.

i honestly would wait to see if it's condensation in the fuel from sitting with rain. It would suck to get new o2 sensors and just have water in your gas tank.

ya. trying HEET in the gas tank would help too if it's a water problem. It's like 1$ so you're not out much.

if you do replace the sensors i would replace the front o2 on both right and left bank because once one of them goes out the other is close behind.

Well i decided to just replace my o2 sensor. Unfortunately i dont have the $ to buy new ones, but i can get one used. So for sensor1 bank1 is that the o2 sensor on the passenger side header? Anyway do these look right for the bank1 sensor1 o2 sensor? How can i tell which one is the right one?

JPE22,
Is it throwing codes on all of your 02 sensors, because i just recently put test pipes on mine took it to the car wash and they completely ripped the portion where the sensor connects to the pipe, I take it to autozone to get it checked and they said it was all four so I was wondering if one bad one will set all 4 off?

Well i just got the universal bosch o2 sensor and went to work earlier today with a help of a friend. Anyway i pulled the codes out again and it got 3 different codes-all pretty much the same as the first code cept with two others. The guy at autozone is an IDIOT for telling me its only 1 code. But i went ahead and replaced the bank1 sensor1 o2 sensor.

Good news is the engine light and codes are gone. Bad news is my car still runs funny. Not nearly as bad as before but i still get this hiccup in between revs. Throttle response still feels kinda laggy. Iono maybe its the ECU relearning its self again??? Ill keep everyone updated

did you reset the ecu afterwards? unplug the battery for a while and reset the ecu. then it will relearn and things should get back to normal.

you also might still have some bad gas (condensation) going through the tank. that happens in humid areas from time to time.

Just cleaned my maf/throttle body and OMG!!!!!! lol car feels so much better. It literally feels like my car lost 300lbs lol. Before when it felt like the car was choking, now it just pulls! When i cleaned the throttle body my micro fiber was black,..thing was really dirty. Anyway if your car has over 60k miles i suggest you clean your maf/throttle body.

Good thread!! Mine has been doing the same thing for two months - ever since I let it sit in a FL. airport lot for a week. I spent way too much time dealing with dealer dorks and replacing "likely" parts. My mods are similar to yours so I'm going to clean the entire intake sys and see what happens...

Thanks to all who gave advise here!!!

Here goes nothing...

haha glad it helped, however cleaning out the intake system didnt solve the problem. Getting rid of my code (which was replacing the o2 sensor) did. THe only thing cleaning out the maf/throttle body did was make my car feel a lot faster/smoother. If your car isnt throwing any codes then go ahead and clean them, maybe it will make it run like new again.

PS i have bigger problems with my Z now lol

That! But after researching i think its just a vacuum leak. Ima check tomorrow. I took off the plenum for painting.

Me and this guy have the same problem and both took off plenum/plenum spacer, if its not a leak ima just bring it to nissan
