Default fuel tank removal

Has anyone ever had to remove the fuel tank from a 03 350? This
car was impounded for a year and I'm trying to decide whether to
do it myself or take it to the Nissan dealership.

I remember seeing the TSB for the fuel filler hose recall a few years ago. Getting the gas tank out involves removing the entire rear end (diff, axles, suspension, etc.). Search, I think there's a thread on it here.

So why do you want to remove the fuel tank to begin with?

If it sat up for a year, he probably wants to flush the old gas out and put fresh stuff into it. It would probably be easier to remove the fuel pump/sensor/filter assembly from the top of the tank and pump the fuel out there.

These cars dont have a drain plug on the fuel tank? A few of my other random cars did and it worked so much easier.
