I'm new in these forums, but i have a 2004 Z, 60k miles, and just today, while i was picking up my girlfriend, i shifted in first and when it was just moving the shifter started to shake all over the place and it sounded like i was driving an 18 wheeler, or diesel engine. then i shifted in 2nd and the same thing happened as i started to release the clutch and depress the gas. the shifter is shaking like crazy and the exhaust?or engine? sounds like its iddling? as in it doesnt wanna respond and the shifter starts to shake kind of.

thank you guys, ive never had a MT car and this is my first, but i do not know what could possibly be wrong. maybe transmission or engine mount?

no. ive driven 18 wheelers for many years, but only owned automatic cars. now i got the MT 350z, and ive been driving it for at least 6 months, but now, it seems like maybe the mounts, or transmission is screwed up, it feels as if im driving diesel.

 

possibly the clutch going out?

OEM clutch?

Clutch mileage?


I had an older Altima 5 speed and right before the clutch went out it was shuddering similar to what you described above.
