Greetings everyone,
My Z has travel half way across the world, and originally purchased in the U.S. so the readings are in Fahrenheit. average outside temps nowadays here are 33-29 Celsius so for 33c = 91f but I get 115 120 sometimes.
the vehicle has all the performance mods you can think of. but in the US i never had a problem and reading were always fine. i didnt change a thing since its journey to the middle east.
any idea's?
where is the sensor anyway? I believe its infront of the radiator but all i see is the steering cooler. and my A/C works perfectly fine.

The sensor is located at the front of the car, just below the hood latch.
Temeratures normally read higher than the true ambient temperature because your car is out in the sun, on hot pavement. Mine typically reads about +5 higher when moving. If you're stopped in traffic, heat from the engine and radiator will cause the reading to be even higher.

I think i know whats the reason. the location of the sensor is 20 inches below the latch. and its rubbing on my intercooler. which is why i think it reads even higher when i get into boost. need to relocate it!
Hi all. Its about 75 degrees and hot in Cali today, but my temperature sensor is reading 47 degrees, and then moved up later in teh afternoon to 50... so its working but its wrong. Any advice on what to do. I believe i located it under the hood.. so should i clean it off? or reset it by disconneting the battery for a bit?
Thanks for the advice!

Actually that sensor helps you ecu run your car... If its broken you timing will be off one way or the other...
Its a two wire plug in the center of your radiator.
IF it gets excessively wet it will mess it up.
