Should both cooling fans automatically come on when the AC is turned on in a 2003 350z? In every other car I have owned both fans automatically come on with the AC, however only the passenger side fan is turning on when I turn on the AC in my 350z. Before I start troubleshooting the relay/fan motor/etc. I want to make sure that both fans should be coming on with the AC on. Thanks.

Ok I found that the driver's side fan will spin if the blades are given a nudge, but very weakly, it is not pushing nearly as much air as the other fan and the blades can be stopped easily. Time to replace the fan motor, wooo.

 

Before you do that, check with your Nissan dealership for a possibly warranty extension on the radiator fan motor. I just received a letter showing the fan motor extended to 84months/80000 miles.

 

I saw the thread regarding this, unfortunately it is only for 04-06 models, and I have an 03. I found an exact fit motor online w/ lifetime warranty for $38, so I will see how that goes. Thanks for the info!
