i just drained the radiator coolant on my 06 G35 coupe.
i flushed the radiator with distilled water before i filled it up with new coolant.
And the heater doesn't turn on! only cold air. i took the air out about 2 times...
i dun think the thermostat is opening. what shuld i do?

you did not get all the air out. It is very difficult to get the air out of these engines if you have not done it before.

go to the search bar and look for instructions on how to do it.

 

-Let the car idle to operating temperature with heater on full blast at the hottest setting.
-Rev the car to about 3K for 10 seconds. Do this a few times to trigger the thermostat.
-Then turn your car off and open the bleeder valve (between the plenum and battery) slowly using a (+) screwdriver. You'll hear bubbling and hissing, which is the air escaping from your system. Note that if you open too fast, then you'll make a mess so go real slow.
-Continue to loosen the valve until the noise stops and you start seeing coolant coming out.
-Close the bleeder valve back up and let the car cool down.
-Once engine the has cooled down, add more coolant to your system.
-Repeat these steps (I stopped counting how many times I repeated these steps) until you only see the coolant coming out from the bleeder valve without any hissing/bubbling.
