Default How to replace an OEM ECU for my 03 G35? HELP!

The dealer said I have a bad ECU. SES lights won't turn off.
I was wondering what the steps are on replacing an ECU?
Which ECU will work for my 2003 G35 Coupe?
Do I need to get my keys re-programmed?

Thanks in advance

1) remove old one, install new one.
2) the replacment has to match the one your remove, i.e. same year, model, trim, etc. there's a code on the ecu itself that identifies which one it is.
3) yes, keys will have to be reprogrammed.

Can I use an 2004 ECU on my 2003?
I can't get to my ECU to read the numbers on it.

It depends. Have somebody at a dealership look up the part numbers for both and see if they match.

How do you reprogram the keys? I had to replace my ECU, found one with matching numbers but dont have the key. I have no way of getting the car to a delaership without reprogramming the key. Any suggestions? I contacted the shop I got the replacement ECU from but they havent answered any of my emails.

what are the numbers/letters that have to match? or does all of them have to match? my ecu is PC MEC31-512 A1 3512. to replace it I have been told that you just have to match the PC not any of the other numbers. anyone know?
