Default Car Shuts of going 80+ on neutral

I have a friend with a 2004 6mt 350z. He recently bought it and it was running fine until recently. He stated that when he is cruising @ 80 and he pops the gear on neutral his car fully shuts down. I am speculating that the MAF sensor is dirty. There is a pop charger and he said he cleaned that filter with the oil cleaner 5000 miles ago, and let it sit for 5 days to dry. I just wanted to see the community's opinion on the situation and where to start.

Thanks!

A good place to start would have been to search first. There are TONS of threads about this. It is a common problem with pop chargers....stop putting it in neutral going that fast is the only fix it.

What is the point of going into neutral while going that fast?

there is none. that is why the only fix for this is to not do what is described by the OP's "friend"
