Default Crazy headlight issue.. Please help

Ok here it the story. It is very odd so may be hard to follow...

I have a 2004 ZR with 2007 headlights. They have always worked fine. One day I noticed my right headlight out. Figured I would change it in the coming week. Then I went to check again and it was working.
Then after about a week it went out again. I figured it could be a ballast or something since it went on and off but figured I would just change the bulb first.

Changed the bulb and still did not work.

I ordered a ballast for it and before installing the ballast I tried the headlights again. To my surprise they worked. But then I tried to shut them off they stayed on. The only way to "reset" them was to disconnect the battery. I also noticed if I turned them on and then put the key and turned to the on position they would freak out. Blink, one would be on other wouldnt all types of crazy things.

At this point I have no idea but am thinking possibly some sort of relay.

Anyone have any idea on my demon lights. I havent driven the car in weeks because of this.

sounds like when someone put the lights on, maybe they did some wire cutting and that could be the issue..maybe its loose or something like that..got water in it idk? i think for the 06+ lights to work on 03-05 you have to cut some wires unless u want the blinker to glow constantly...so maybe thats part of it, they cut other stuff too? or it could be in your switch.. your switch might be faulty

Just throwing it out there... i coundn't fiqure it out my self... Once while working on my 06 headlight swap, my headlights where acting very funny. Stuck on. Well it was only the running lights but that is all i turn on. Either way, my battery was very low. I just let it die, jumped it in the morning and never saw it again. Doesn't make sense, but that was my expierience. May have something to do with the 06+ upgrade since that is a common factor?

But on second thought, it may not have been a low battery that caused it but a dying battery to fix it.

Did you rewire from a base?

Not sure why this would have anything to do with my headlight swap... You may be right BUT these were installed at the dealer about 2 years ago. Have never had any issues until now.

Like I said at first it was just a dead headlight or so I thought.

I will recheck all the connections today since it did get worse after I changed the headlight bulb.

But in this whole situation I have never done anything but change the headlight bulb.

Also. I could be wrong but the dealer told me nothing had to be rewired. They took the headlights off a 2007 and put my headlights on that car. My car had HIDs to begin with just not dual Xenon.

Did you rewire from a base?
What do you mean?

Checked all connections no change.

No one really answered about a relay? Anyone know what the relay is for the headlights? Part number and location.

I can here clicking when I turn the lights on near the battery
