Default Headlights???

I took out my headlights yesterday, and when i woke up today, i look out the window and it is sprinkling/looked like it rained during the night. When I rushed out to my car, the cord that attached to the headlights were kinda wet. Will they be ok? Should I just dry them out and plug the headlights back in? Or should I try to see if they work by plugging the headlights in now? Thanks.

Dry them out and you will be fine. Then wrap them in plastic until you are done.

phew, what a relief. As of now, I have wrapped them in paper towel, covered by masking tape. I needed to go out today, so I will dry them as best as I can and put the headlights back in then. Thanks for the help guys.
