Nissan 350z Won't Start Possible NATS Malfunction Help!!!?
I have a 2003 Nissan 350z 6 seep Manual. The other day I woke up, it was running fine the day before and the car would just not start. The engine cranks fine but will not start. I ran a diagnostics on the ECU and the codes I received back where the following... P1610, P1612 and U1001. Now I believe the codes P1610 and P1612 are related to a NATS Malfunction witch is a Nissan Anti-Theft System issue where the keys have to be reprogrammed to the car. I believe the other code U1001 is related to the NATS malfunction, some sort of communications error but I am not sure any suggestions? Also my main question is also my windows will not roll down my interior lights don't seem to be working and my headlights turn on whenever I have the key turned in the ignition (they are not automatic head lights). Could these all be related to the NATS malfunction or do you think there is other issues as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...
how did you get into the vehicle? Did you just open the door because it was already unlocked? or did you use the remote, and or the key to unlock then get in?
An idea to try is to lock and unlock the door with the KEY from the outside. Make sure everything is closed. then when you get in try to start it again. That usually works. If not then sure enough your KEY is out of program.
