Steering Lock?
My car was a victim of a hit and run last night, while it was parked outside my apartment complex. I had my car parked straight and I'm guessing the guy was going fast because it knocked my car sideways. I was wondering if the steering lock on the z was electrical or mechanical. My wheels were straight when I parked but obviously after impact they moved. I'm just trying to wrap my mind around what could possibly be wrong with my car. The car right now is at a body shop; I wasn't able to drive it after the collision, the front bumper was pressed against the wheels and I think the radiator was cracked. Anyway I haven't gotten my estimate yet, but I wanted to be able make an educated inquiry about the steering the lock if they didn't mention it. Sorry if this was long read, I'm kind of pissed off right now. Thanks for the input.
I probably should have taken some pictures. The cops were actually there before me. There was a witness that reported to my apt complex and they called the cops. I found out when my neighbor knocked on my door at 2am. They called a tow company, I couldn't drive my car anyway.
