Default Clicking

Hey all, I have a question for those who have experienced the notorious clicking from the rear.... ive read up on this in many threads, but its blamed on two things and i dont know which one is the cause of mine... some say its a bearing in the wheel and some say its a bearing in the differential.... i get the click everytime i start in first gear or give a good amount of gas u can hear a click.... when moving fast it turns into a hiss which doesnt really narrow my search because both the wheel and the differential bearing spin fast.... let me know what you guys think.... also when i let off the gas and the car decelerates in gear you can hear a click the insant the deceleration starts (dunno if that helps)... sorry for reposting this but i dont know what to do..... im pretty handy and could fix this myself if i knew what it was! do you guys think i can get a nissan tech to look at it for free?? Thx for your time

I can say in the case of my '08 base/6mt, it's a bad right inner CV joint. Took it apart last week while swapping the pumpkin, and I can feel the looseness in that joint as compared to the others. Started at ~28k miles.

You should be able to tell the difference between rear axle and wheel bearing. There are several "How to check wheel bearing?" threads.
