Default Think I hurt my Z....help

Did a break job and long story short my right rear axel got pushed in toward the diff about 1 to 1.5 inches. I pulled it back out with the axle nut ...again dont ask why it was off. Everthing went back nicely. I am now having this odd sound coming from the right rear. Cant place whether maybe I over adjusted the parking break pads or if I hurt something when the axle was pushed in. Help an ideas?? Oh and it is a rotational noise

Brake job consisted of what? I am assuming you pulled the rotors for turning/replacing but can't figure out how you moved the axle since the rotors pretty much pop right off without tools/force. Can you make the long story short just a bit longer?

Should have done a brake job instead. Something always goes wrong when you do a break job.

can we focus on the issue at hand. what could would have happened. Would it have pushed into the diff or just damage the half shaft.

The question is what sort of damage could have been done by having the axle push towards the differential approximately 1 to 1.5 inches.

Probly damaged the spider gear in the diff. Sounds like a good time for a quaiffe/cusco. No idea how this could happend but Id love to hear it.

This happend on my eclipse from a car accident. How this happens on a brake job is LMFAO

I bet he took a sledge to the rotor to get it off when it didn't come off easily because of the parking brake shoes.
