Default Help please diagnosing a problem!!

I have an 03 350z and i'm having some unresolved issues. Just seeing if anyone is able to diagnose the problem before i bring it in to the shop. The other day my driver side seat switches went out.

So, i ordered another driver side seat switch from nissan and put it on. The install is pretty simple as it is plug and play. The install went smoothly and the seat and everything was working properly...no engine light on and no airbag light on. The next morning i wake up and the car won't start. I'm not sure if i left an interior light on in the car or not but this was the case when i woke up in the morning.

I jump the car with some jumper cables and the car starts right up. The problem is that i now have an engine light on and a airbag light on. Can someone please give me any suggestions on what is going on, im confused. I'm planning on going to autozone to get the codes read and then after that to a mechanic shop if need be!!

Did you disconnect the battery negative while installing the new switch? Not sure this would mean much but it's a habit i've gotten into anytime i mess with anything electrical. And without the codes it is kinda hard to tell what is going on with the car.

Thanks for attempting to help! I resolved the issue with a little bit of reading. I did the ecu reset procedure and also the airbag light reset procedure and everything is a-ok now. No airbag light and no engine light on anymore. What happend is that i didn't disconnect the battery when removing the driverside seat switch and this triggered two codes which were false codes. Thank god for this forum otherwise i would be taking my car into the dealer.
