Where are the sensors located? Would they have to take apart the motor to get to them? Good way to add forged parts and cams on the cheap while it's apart if this is true! Where are the sensors located?

From my dealer...
Nissan USA has no information available of this as yet. When we
receive actual recall information and have parts availability we will
then contact clients to initiate repair scheduling. We apologize for any
inconvenience and will be in touch. Keep in mind it could take awhile to
get all the necessary components in place.

Well you will know if it is faulty or dead. If the sensor dies the car does not run. If the sensor is faulty then at 5500+ rpms you will get a Check engine light and all of your safety features (tcs vdc slip lights) all will start flashing and whatnot. The car feels like it should have felt from the get go! Thank god. Btw, I know a nissan mechanic he told me 2 minutes to diagnose the problem (pulling the CEL code) and 3 minutes to replace.

Mr. Potato Head , Nope the CPS is located on the block near the crank. Its usually held in with 1 or 2 bolts and does not have any moving parts. You simply pull the old one out and drop the new one in.
