clutch help plz
I have a 05 350z 6spd with 38k on it and when I pull out hard in first and grab 2nd at about 6500rpm my clutch pedel will depress itself and act like I'm riding the clutch. I bled the fluid and it still does it. And the tcs is off. Any ideas?
got mine fixed at 66k, my mechanic told me it was the clutch pivot ball behind the pedal that busted, for him to fix it required to get up all up in the z, had him upgrade my clutch while he was at it....the little things get you every time, about a 3 dollar piece but labor was going to be the same as getting the clutch replaced, i would get it checked out if i were you
No, the cluth pedel returns... When I shift from first to second, not a casual shift, I mean I'm grabbing 2nd as quick as I can at roughly 6k rpms. When I let the clutch out it will depress itself back in makin it like I'm riding the clutch instead of it hooking up n going
I'm having problem with my clutch also but not necessarily depress itself like you said but then again, I seldom **** at that high RPM. For me, it is rough to shift from 1st to 2nd. The shifter have some resistant and I can only shift into 2nd at a certain rpm, until I force it in, then it makes a grinds and makes a metal to metal sound. It gets worse when I drive it a lot, the clutch pedal gets really spongy and sometimes it feels like my clutch is slipping. I brought it in to the stealership and they actually changed out the tranny for me but it didn't help. The problem came back just 1 week later. I just brought it in again last week and the service director test drove it and said might be the master cylinder system gone back and has a air bubble so he ordered a new assembly for me. Will be here mid next week. I'll let you guys know how goes it next week.

Other than going to the dealer i am at a loss for what to do. I don't want to start replacing parts that may or may not fix it. I could have a ton of money invested on trying to fix this and it could still do it in the end.
dealer will charge you straight up front to look at it! don't do it, get to know a mechanic or ask friends, shop around...no way will i got to the dealer for a problem again unless you have a warranty
