Ouch! Uggh! Screwed.
Darn. Notices a screw in my front tire this morning. I started to remove it and heard the air escaping so I left it in there for now. Can it be plugged safely or do I need to buy a new tire ?
I was going to eventually get 19's and some aftermarket wheels so I hate to put the money into a stock replacement tire but I do not want to worry about a plugged tire at high speed either.

I've plugged lots of tires and I've never had any problems...the safest way is to get the patch from the inside put on, I've had that done too...I'd only buy a new tire if the sidewall looks cut or damage done to the belts inside or something...good luck
They're usually patchable as long as it's still in the tread. As soon as it's left the tread, on the sidewall, it's all over. Not safe, especially past the legal speed limit (that I'm sure no one ever pushes
).

What are the odds they scratch the wheel !
