I have a march03 build with 14XXX vin. I have "heard" that the later vin cars do not have the feathering issue (although the roadster post re feathering would suggest otherwise). Is there anyone with a later vin 12000 and up COUPE that DOES have the feathering problem. I had no signs of any problem at 3000 miles when I put the snows on.

 

Mine was also manufactured in March 03 and I have gotten my front tires changed out for feathering. You probably won't notice them until around 8-9k. That's when the road noise for me substantially increased in the cabin.

 

same here...i have upper 13000's VIN and i just noticed the feathering (very noticeable) on my front tires at 7500 miles.

this car is a POS

 

mine is just starting to feather and I am at 10K. I could hear the tire noise. Its very annoying.

 

I have an 04 and it started at 4000 miles.
